Purposeful Foundations was built on a simple belief: better health starts by getting back to the foundations.
There is no shortage of nutrition advice, wellness trends, supplements, protocols, and quick fixes telling us what we should be doing. But more information doesn't always create more clarity. I believe there is value in slowing down, looking at the bigger picture, and understanding why we are making a change before adding one more thing to the list.
That philosophy is at the heart of Purposeful Foundations: on purpose, with a purpose.
Your body is constantly giving us information through your energy, digestion, sleep, hunger, mood, habits, and the way you feel day to day. My role isn't to hand you a one-size-fits-all plan. It's to help you look at those patterns, identify where your foundations may need more support, and turn that information into realistic steps you can actually implement.
We won't try to change everything at once.
We'll start where it makes the most sense for you, understand the purpose behind each recommendation, and build from there.
One step. One layer. One foundation at a time.
Because lasting health isn't built by throwing ideas at the wall and hoping something sticks.
It's built intentionally.
On purpose. With a purpose.
My approach begins with the five Foundations of Health emphasized in Nutritional Therapy: nutrient-dense diet, digestion, blood sugar regulation, sleep, and stress. These areas are deeply connected, and supporting them gives us a purposeful place to begin when looking at your overall health.

Food provides the building blocks our bodies need every day. The focus isn't on perfection or restriction, but on choosing whole, nutrient-dense foods that nourish the body and support energy, function, and overall wellbeing.

What we eat matters, but so does our ability to break down, absorb, and utilize those nutrients. Supporting healthy digestion helps the body make better use of the nourishment we're providing.

Balanced blood sugar can influence energy, hunger, cravings, mood, sleep, and how we feel throughout the day. Building meals and habits that support steadier blood sugar is an important part of creating a stronger foundation.

Quality sleep gives the body and brain time to recover, repair, and prepare for the day ahead. We'll look at sleep habits, routines, and lifestyle factors that may help support more consistent, restorative rest.

We may not be able to remove every stressor from our lives, but we can become more intentional about how we respond to them. Supporting the nervous system, creating space for recovery, and building realistic stress-management practices are important pieces of foundational health.

I believe nourishing the body and moving the body belong in the same conversation. Strength, mobility, balance, flexibility, and everyday movement all contribute to how we want to live, not just how we want to look.
These foundations don't exist in isolation. What happens in one area can influence another, which is why we look at the bigger picture rather than focusing on one habit or symptom alone.
My role is to help you understand where your foundations may need more support and decide where it makes the most sense to begin. Together, we'll turn that information into realistic nutrition and lifestyle strategies that fit your life.
We don't have to change everything at once. We start with what matters most, understand the purpose behind it, and build from there.
One step. One layer. One foundation at a time.
My path to nutritional therapy began with my own health journey.
In 2021, I was diagnosed with Hashimoto’s. Then, in 2023, genetic testing revealed that I carry an ATM gene mutation associated with an increased risk of breast cancer. I was suddenly having conversations about preventative surgery and making decisions about my future health that I never expected to be making.
Preparing for a prophylactic mastectomy became a turning point for me.
I started looking more closely at the things I could influence. How was I nourishing my body? How was I managing stress? Was I getting enough sleep? Was I building strength and supporting my body in ways that would serve me not only through surgery, but for years to come?
Yoga became an important part of that process. What began as a way to slow down, breathe, move, and support my nervous system eventually grew into something I wanted to share with others. I began teaching yoga, later added Pilates, and continued to make strength training and movement a meaningful part of my own health.
But the deeper I went, the more questions I had.
I didn't want to spend the rest of my life simply reacting to symptoms or adding another supplement, diet, or wellness trend without understanding why. I wanted to better understand how nutrition, digestion, blood sugar, sleep, stress, movement, and everyday habits work together, and how supporting those foundations could help me feel stronger and more resilient.
I wanted to do more than survive. I wanted to thrive.
That curiosity eventually led me to the Nutritional Therapy Association and ultimately to becoming a Nutritional Therapy Practitioner.
Along the way, something else became clear to me: so many of the changes that made the greatest difference weren't dramatic. They were intentional. Each one had a reason behind it. Each step built upon another.
On purpose. With a purpose.
That experience became the heart of Purposeful Foundations.
Today, I bring together nutritional therapy, movement, education, and my own lived experience to help others better understand their bodies and build stronger health foundations in a way that feels realistic, individualized, and sustainable.
Because better health doesn't have to begin with changing everything.
Sometimes it begins by understanding where you are, deciding what matters most, and taking the next purposeful step.

When I'm not working with clients, you'll usually find me teaching yoga or Pilates, lifting weights at the gym, experimenting with a new recipe in the kitchen, or spending time with my family.
Movement is a big part of my life, but so is learning how to make health fit into real life. I believe the habits that support us should be sustainable, enjoyable, and flexible enough to move with the different seasons of our lives.
The principles I share with my clients are the same ones I continue to practice myself: nourishing my body well, prioritizing sleep and recovery, managing stress, building strength, and staying curious about what helps me feel my best.
I'm always learning, adjusting, and building too.
Because purposeful health isn't about perfection. It's about making choices that support the life you want to live.
Better health doesn’t have to start with changing everything at once. It can start with one thoughtful conversation, a clearer understanding of where you are, and a purposeful plan for where to go next.
If you’re ready for a personalized approach that looks at the bigger picture and helps you build realistic, sustainable habits that fit your life, I’d love to connect.
